Jacob Kline is a Freshman at Cal State Long Beach. He currently is undeclared but is interested in pursuing a career in film because he loves how “it can display his creativity and ideas”. He prefers film over any other visual art because he is “able to write his own scripts and then create his own visual representation”. According to Jacob, he thinks that art is crucial in our society because, “it lets you express the side people would normally be afraid of”. Jacob thought that Patricia’s piece was an interesting way to view an urban society because after growing up in Oceanside, he found it relate-able.
